A Word About Emergency Food
Being Prepared
We have all heard of and/or seen the recent catastrophic events that have taken place around the world. You may even know someone who has been affected
by these events. Calamities elsewhere remind us that we need to be prepared if and when something happens in our part of the world. But it doesn't
have to be catastrophic. Even something as mundane as a power outage, over a large area for a few days after a wind storm, needs to be dealt with
when the time comes.
Here at East Point Seafood we think that every home should have an Emergency Food Supply (EFS) for times when the unexpected happens. It doesn't have to be
fancy and can be built-up over time but it’s never too soon to start. You will also appreciate the security and satisfaction of being prepared with your
EFS. And don't forget your pets! They need food and water too.
Remember that canned seafood is an essential part in any Emergency Food Supply. It's nutritious, good for you and comes to you cooked and ready to
enjoy. Don't forget that seafood is an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids and is high in protein. But preparedness isn't just about food. It's
also about having an actionable plan for the whole family, readily available contact information, and even safeguarding your digital life. Below are
a few links on the EFS subject.
Sincerely,
The Staff at East Point Seafood
